Hilton Yokohama, it doesn't feel like a Hilton

Hilton Yokohama, which opened in Yokohama Minato Mirai in September 2023, is adjacent to K Arena Yokohama, one of the world's largest music arenas with a capacity of approximately 20,000 people, and is conveniently located within walking distance of JR Yokohama Station.
Many people who have the opportunity to stay at Hilton hotels in Japan several times a year are likely members of the Hilton Premium Club (HPCJ), which offers a 25% discount on accommodations. Unfortunately, the Hilton Yokohama is not eligible for the HPCJ discount , but I stayed there because I wanted to experience something new.
1. Access from the station
- From JR Yokohama Station ,
- Exit through the Central South or North ticket gates and head towards Takashimaya at the East Exit.
- Follow the signs for K Arena and you will arrive at Hilton Yokohama in about 10 minutes.
- Along the way, pass through the Nissan Building and use the Fujifilm Building as a landmark.
- You can take the elevator in front of the Fujifilm Building entrance to get off at the Minato Mirai pedestrian bridge, but you will need to use the stairs except between 7am and 8pm.
- If you go past the Anpanman Museum and turn left, you will come to the Hilton Yokohama. Take the elevator to the entrance floor and then take the elevator to the reception on the 3rd floor.
- If coming from Shin-Takashima Station on the Minatomirai Line ,
- Take the escalator or elevator at Exit 4 to ground level, cross Tochinoki Street and head towards the Anpanman Museum.

2. Hilton Yokohama
- Take the elevator up to the 3rd floor where the front desk is located and you will see the lobby space in front of you. The front desk will be on your left.

- The space in front of the front desk. Your companions are asked to wait here while you check in, but the steps make it a bit inconvenient.

- We stayed just before Christmas so the tree decorations were beautiful.

- The guest rooms are located on the 7th to 25th floors, with the 16th to 21st floors being the upper floors and the 22nd to 25th floors being the executive floors. The 7th to 21st floors are mainly deluxe rooms (twin/king) and premium rooms (twin/king).

- Executive lounge and fitness center on the 5th floor

- Room entrance. I booked a Deluxe King room for 22,990 yen through the Hilton official website. I ended up with a room on the 14th floor without being upgraded to a higher floor.

- Into the room

- Claw Set

- Luggage rack

- In the drawers, there are loungewear

- What was in the drawer on the right? I forget...

- The bottom drawer contains cleaning paper and bags.

- The iron is stored in the bottom right drawer.

- To the right of the entrance are slippers and umbrellas. Portable umbrellas are small, so they are perfect for rainy days.

- desk

- drawer

- Stand under the TV. Glasses and cups in the drawers.

- small refrigerator

- On the right side, there is a coffee machine, a kettle, and an ice bucket. You have to take out the coffee machine and use it... 😥

- Coffee capsules.

- It's a shame that the sofa wasn't practical to sit on.

- bed

- I have a Bluetooth speaker by my bed. I had some time before dinner so I wanted to make some coffee and play some music, but the Bluetooth wouldn't connect. I didn't have a manual, so I googled the product name and reset it, but it still wouldn't connect. 😥

- Safety. I haven't used it yet, but it might be a convenient place to use.

- Separate loungewear is great!

- Bathroom. The premium type, which costs about 5,000 yen more, comes with a river-side room with separate bathroom and toilet.

- shower

- washbasin

- Amenities and bath salts are nice.

- Drawers contain amenities such as brushes.

- Towels and a hairdryer under the sink

- dryer

- toilet

- The window. It's under construction and looks a bit bleak. The Anpanman Children's Museum is in the bottom right.

- Breakfast for Diamond and Gold members is served in the club lounge, which is a bit disappointing.

- Also check out the gym on the 5th floor

- At 7am, no one was there.

- Breakfast. The toaster is only for bread, and there was a warning not to change the temperature, so I couldn't warm up the croissant.

- fruit

- The almonds were soggy and inedible. 😥

- There was only one copy of the newspaper, but I was the first to arrive so I read it.

- I was asked if I would like to eat the omelet later.

- The door was locked and I couldn't get out, but it seems like it would be nice to relax here during nice weather.

Overall ⭐️ ⭐️
Access from Yokohama Station is a little confusing, but you can follow the signs to K Arena. However, depending on the time of day, you may need to use stairs, which can be inconvenient (though this may be improved as an access path to K Arena is currently under construction).
😄 Umbrella left in the room😄 Separate loungewear😩 Not covered by HPCJ, so no room upgrade and no explanation given😩 Bluetooth speaker didn't connect😩 Almonds at breakfast were damp😩 Coffee machine in the room had to be taken out of the shelf and plugged in😩 If you happen to coincide with an event at K Arena, access may be terrible.
