TOSEI HOTEL COCONE ASAKUSA KURAMAE, opening in May 2020

Tosei Hotel Cocone Asakusa Kuramae opened near Kuramae Station in May 2020. Tosei Corporation, which operates six hotels in Tokyo and Kamakura, began its hotel business in 2017, so all of its hotels appear to be new.

1. Access from Kuramae Station on the Asakusa Line
- On the platform for Oshiage, exit the "Kuramae 3-chome ticket gate" near the second car (car number 7) and take the elevator to ground level (the nearest exit is the A4 exit stairs near the first car (car number 8)).

- Exit the elevator onto the road and go right to reach Kuramae 3-chome intersection.

- Turn left at the Kuramae 3-chome intersection

- You will see the A4 exit on your left. Continue straight until the next traffic light.

- The Tosei Hotel Cocone Asakusa Kuramae is located near the diagonal frame, and the 1st floor is a coffee shop.

Note) From the Asakusa Line platform heading towards Nishi-Magome, we recommend using the A2 exit escalator, and from the Oedo Line platform, we recommend using the A6 exit escalator.

2. Tosei Hotel Cocone Kuramae
- I went up to the second floor and went to the front desk. Since I had paid in advance, I completed the procedures for my nationwide travel support at the face-to-face front desk, then quickly checked the second floor, picked up some amenities from the shelf behind the front desk, and went to my room.

- There is a free drink corner at the back of the front desk on the 2nd floor. There is also a microwave on the left side.

- The lobby is small, and the box-shaped space you can see at the back is a tea room, which can be entered through a small door.

- The service room to the right of the drink corner has a coin-operated, fully automatic washer/dryer. There is also a microwave here.

- Also on the second floor is the large public bath. It will be closed on the day of your stay.

- There was no explanation at check-in that we could pick up the books and pillows freely.

- The hallways and guest rooms are on the 3rd to 12th floors, and this room is a standard single room on the 11th floor, 13m2, 140cm wide, Simmons bed

- I was given a floor map for the 2nd floor and a room on the 11th floor, so I was hoping for a good view, but rooms 1106-1110 were almost right next to the neighboring building, so I was disappointed.

- View of the room from the entrance On the bed there is a basket for when you go to the large public bath on the second floor, which is currently closed.

- I later found out on the website that the large public bath was scheduled to open the next day, so I guess it was for people who wanted to be the first ones there in the morning...

- The only saving grace was the view from the window (the next morning) and the fact that the window could be opened for ventilation.

- The amenities I picked up on the second floor included toothpaste, a comb, a razor, and cotton pads. There were also cotton swabs and body towels.

- Doretec kettle

- You can bring in green tea, coffee, etc. from the second floor, so it's fine to just have green tea.

- I have a 27L Toshiba refrigerator with a freezer compartment, but it says "This product cannot store ice cream or frozen foods." I looked up the instruction manual and it says "cooler." In other words, does that mean it's a device that cools the inside of the refrigerator?

- Loungewear

- The closet was wide enough for one person.

- Slippers, not sure if they were disposable. They were stacked on top of each other in the closet.

- The bathroom and bathtub are standard size for a single room, but when I got closer and looked closely at the curtains, I could see a little mold. I can't help but look closely when I'm taking a shower.

- Refills for shampoos and Pelican soaps. Lavender and almond scent, a subtle scent that is safe for sensitive skin.

- shower head

- toilet

- There is an outlet and USB port next to the pillow, and there is a space of about 5cm where you can place your phone (I was a little worried that it would fall out, but it was fine).

- The TV is about 50 inches...

- purifier

- I wanted to go to Ramen Kai, but it was almost closing time at 9pm, so I gave up. After checking out Origin Bento, I had a craving for fried horse mackerel, so I decided to eat it in my room... (sad)

- Souvenirs purchased at Haneda Airport using a coupon from "Tadaima Tokyo Plus": Gomasyo Mukoan's Gentsuba (¥1,000) (I wanted the limited edition sesame balls, but unfortunately they were sold out...), Ladurée macarons (¥330 each, pistachio, strawberry, caramel)

😄 There are no particular issues that I'm concerned about.
😄 There is no limit on the number of shareholder discount coupons that can be used, so it seems like you can get a good deal on your stay?
😩 Some rooms have no view from the neighboring building.
😩 The large public bath is not listed on the website or in the plans, so it is unclear whether it is open or closed.
