Hotel ONE @ Tokyo, supervised by Kengo Kuma, opened in Oshiage in 2017
- This is a review of the hotel "ONE@Tokyo," which had its grand opening in July 2017. The exterior and interior design was supervised by Kengo Kuma and the hotel is located right in front of Tokyo Skytree.

1. Access from Oshiage Station on the Asakusa Line
- To get to the hotel from the Asakusa Line Oshiage Station platform, the closest exit is "A3," but we recommend using the escalator at "B3." Take the elevator down to the ticket gate.

- Exit the ticket gate and take the escalator to exit "B3" to ground level.

- Go towards the front right, opposite to Tokyo Skytree.

- Cross the traffic light and turn right

- Cross the traffic light again and go left. The hotel will be on your right.

2. ONE@Tokyo
- To check in at the front desk on the first floor, sit on the chair on the left. I had already paid the morning of the check-in, but I was still charged.

- There is a free drink corner at the back of the front desk. There is also a microwave and a toaster for breakfast at the back.

- Breakfast is 660 yen, and coffee is available from 7:00 at the drink corner.

- After checking in, I went to room 709 on the 7th floor. This time, I chose a standard semi-double room (14m2) with a short stay plan, from 6pm to 10am, at 13,500 yen, which is a bit pricey, but after 270 yen in points and a travel support discount, I paid 10,584 yen. There was no indication of the room number, so I had to check both sides as I walked.

- The room above faces the Skytree. It seems that you can only get a Skytree view in a Deluxe King or larger room with 28m2.

- From the entrance to the room, the sink is on the right and the bathroom and toilet are on the left.

- The desk was small considering the size of the room, and the chair was hard, so it wasn't suitable for long hours of desk work. There were also two complimentary bottles of mineral water on the table.

- The view from the window (the next morning). I wish the window was a little wider and bigger.

- The TV was large, but I couldn't watch terrestrial broadcasts. I considered changing rooms, but after unpacking my luggage, I found that BS broadcasts were available, so I gave up.

- Checking the size on an iPhone is a convenient feature

- water heater

- You can bring in green tea, coffee, etc. from the first floor (probably), so I don't think you'll need to use it.

- The refrigerator is small

- bathrobe

- There is no closet, just a hanger on the wall, which is easier to use than a door type.

- I always think it would be nice if the slippers came in a slightly larger size...

- In the bathroom, the toilet lid opens automatically when you approach and closes automatically when you move away.

- LIXIL toilets

- When you approach the shower room, the toilet lid opens even if you don't need to.

- Shampoos, Hajimari series botanicals

- shower head

- Bedside and power outlet It's located at the back of the bed. You can also turn the lights on and off, but it took me a while to get used to it before I could operate it the way I wanted.

- There is a built-in power outlet and safety box on the side of the bed.

- The sink is located outside the bathroom, which is an innovative arrangement and easy to use, but where is there a place to put a towel?

- Open the door on the side and you'll find cups and amenities.

- Amenities: toothbrush, body towel, cotton, razor, hair band

- Panasonic Ionity hair dryer

- Skytree from the rooftop. Open from 8:00 to 22:00. There is a sofa bench on the left side where you can relax.

😄 I was glad that I could sit down at the front desk.
😄 Skytree view from the rooftop
😩 I paid in advance this time too, but the bathing tax of 100 yen was charged separately.
😩 The entrance to the shower room next to the toilet was narrow and inconvenient.
😩 Wi-Fi is likely dependent on other guests' usage, so be prepared for it to be slow.
😩 I couldn't get terrestrial TV.
