GINZA CRESTON, A hotel with guaranteed high-floor views

Located about a 7-minute walk from Tsukiji Station on the Hibiya Line, the Ginza Creston Hotel is located on the 32nd to 38th floors of St. Luke's Tower along the Sumida River. The hotel was rebranded and reopened in March 2013 from the Tokyo New Hankyu Hotel Tsukiji, which opened in 1994, so it is just under 30 years old. The building is one of the twin towers constructed by St. Luke's Hospital.

The first 31 floors of the hotel and residence tower are rental housing, with a 20-year contract costing approximately 220 to 600 million yen plus expenses. Even the 1LDK apartments are just under 90m2, and apparently there are no additional costs from the 21st year onwards.

I stayed there because I wanted to see the view from the higher floors.

• When coming from Tsukiji Station on the Hibiya Line , Exits 3 and 4 are the closest, but as there are stairs from the platform heading towards Kita-Senju, we recommend using the elevator at Exit 2.

• When coming from Shintomicho Station on the Yurakucho Line , Exit 4 is the closest, but we recommend taking the elevator to Exit 1 to get to ground level.

• The hotel entrance is around the arrow.

• The front desk is on the first floor and there is a small lobby at the entrance. The building is 30 years old, but it is well maintained.

• There is an elevator, and the guest rooms are on the 32nd to 38th floors. I made a reservation through Ikyu for the "Great Value Plan (Room Only)" which lets you choose the room type, costing 13,000 yen for a single room + 12,350 yen if you use 5% points immediately. I was given a room on the top floor, the 38th floor.

• The corridors and guest room floors have an open atrium in the center, with rooms arranged around it, so all rooms are guaranteed to have a high-rise view.

• Overlooking the dining floor on the 32nd floor.

• Floor map: Room 3808 is next to the emergency stairs, so the room is L-shaped and not very convenient to use.

• And there's a luggage rack at the bottom right. There's plenty of space in the back, so why is there a luggage rack here?? And the wallpaper is starting to peel...

• There is a claw set to the left of the entrance, and in fact there is a first claw set inside the room.

• A small desk is placed against the wall, and a fairly old-looking sofa It was a type that could be turned into a bed, so I didn't feel like sitting down and relaxing at all... (crying)

• Unfortunately, the view from the window was limited due to the rain, but it was nice that there were no buildings nearby blocking the view along the Sumida River.
