Shinagawa Prince Hotel: Amazing night view from the large windows

To coincide with dinner at Shirokane Takanawa,

I stayed at the Shinagawa Prince Hotel Annex Tower Double Room (room only) for 13,643 yen through Ikyu's Private Sale, which is available to Gold members and above.

• Exit the Takanawa Exit (West Exit) of JR Shinagawa Station , cross the traffic light in front of you, and head towards Wing Takanawa (currently under construction as of August 2023)

• We proceed through Wing Takanawa, which is currently under construction.

• Proceed up the slope in front of Obicca Mozzarella Bar.

• The front desk is on the 7th floor, and if you have paid in advance, you can complete the check-in process at the machine. I left my luggage in the morning, so I went to the front desk to pick it up (I usually have it delivered to my room, but this time they asked if it was okay to have it delivered to the front desk, so I agreed).

• The 7th floor lobby is just the right place to take a short break before or after checking in.

• It's located at the back of the 7th floor lobby and is quite spacious, but with 672 guest rooms in the Annex Tower alone, it was relatively lively.

• The aisle is quite narrow, which surprised me. If someone with a suitcase comes towards you, you have to avoid passing each other.

• It seems like you'll have to wait to use the elevator to move between floors when it's busy, so it's probably essential to have ice and vending machines on each floor.

• Floor map: guest rooms are on the 8th to 32nd floors, 21st to 29th floors are on the higher floors, and 30th to 32nd floors are on the millennial floors (renovated in 2019). We were upgraded to a higher floor facing Tokyo Tower!

• The double room was 20.41 square meters in size, the TV was small and wall-mounted, and the loungewear was a one-piece dress.

• The desk lamp and telework chair seem a bit out of place with the room's retro furniture.
