Supposed to be a once in a lifetime stay at the Halekulani...
Halekulani is a five-star hotel on Waikiki Beach overlooking Diamond Head.
When you hear that the name means a mansion worthy of heaven in Hawaiian, it's a hotel that makes you want to stay there at least once.
To commemorate this special occasion, I stayed at a hotel I had always wanted to stay at, booking through Ikyu (273,725 yen for two nights).
1. Access from the airport

The receptionist was a Japanese person who appeared to be from Okinawa, and we were upgraded from a partial ocean view reservation to an ocean view.
Unfortunately, it was before check-in time (15:00) and the room was not yet ready, so they said they would contact me by email or phone (SMS) as soon as it was ready.
I was told that I could use the Hospitality Business Center on the 2nd floor until check-in.

Shower and toilet facilities are available. Change clothes here and head straight to the pool.
The spacious spacing is elegant. Cookies were served and popsicles were distributed several times a day.
By chance? The pool was almost completely reserved.
A 25m heated pool. 360° underwater visibility from end to end.
There is also a private beach next to the pool.
I got a call a little before 3:00 PM and went to my room.
For ocean view rooms, the Diamond Head side of the Makai Tower seems to be popular , but we were given a room on the 11th floor of the Ewa Tower.
On the left side of the walkway, you can look down at the Outrigger Reef pool.

The welcome fruit was papaya. It was served with lemon and was perfectly ripe and ready to eat. 😃

Of course, it was a washlet type. Not only the room, but all the restrooms in the building I used were washlet type.

The rest were also used at the hotel we stayed at after the Halekulani.
Lanai. To be honest, I thought maybe we weren't upgraded to a partial ocean room. You can also get a good view of the rooms in Makai Tower directly in front.
You can see the ocean just fine... Next time, maybe I'll aim for an oceanfront spot?!
Turndown service is
Towels were replaced. Mineral water was replenished, and the charging cable hanging by the bedside was replaced with a holder! (It was stored more neatly...Photo after unpacking.)
And there was a message from the front desk saying that there was something to be delivered.
We also had a decent sparkling wine (I googled it and it was less than $10...) 😊
Morning coffee service is available near La Mer on the first floor.
Orchid is a popular restaurant that serves Sunday brunch (you might get a terrace seat if you make a reservation early).

I was wondering whether to make a reservation through Leaders Club, but I decided to use Ikyu because it was cheaper. With Leaders Club, breakfast is free and you can earn points to get a free night's stay.
It was meant to be my first and last stay, but I ended up wondering when I could come again. In fact, I felt like it was a paradise I definitely wanted to return to.
