Opened in August 2020, APA Hotel & Resort Ryogoku Station Tower has non-smoking rooms and is conveniently located for sightseeing at Ryogoku Kokugikan and Tokyo Dome , as well as easy access to Ueno Station, Akihabara Station, and Tokyo Station.
Additionally, the Ryogoku Junior High School facility's Ryogoku Indoor Pool is open to the public as a public swimming pool, and is conveniently located just a two-minute walk from the APA Hotel, so we have been using it as a secondary facility for the hotel.

1. Access from JR Ryogoku Station
- If you are heading to the hotel from JR Ryogoku Station, exit the west exit and turn right.
- We head towards the Edo-Tokyo Museum, which is currently closed for major renovations.
- Towards the Edo-Tokyo Museum on the right (if you look up you can see the APA Tower behind the Kokugikan)
- Turn left just before the entrance to the Edo-Tokyo Museum
- Go straight along the sidewalk where there is a car stop.
- It takes about 5 minutes from the station to get there, and although there are stairs at the entrance, there is a slope on the right side.
- From JR Ryogoku Station, take the escalator near Car 6 of the Sobu Line to exit the West Exit ticket gate and follow the red line route. From the Toei Oedo Line, take the A4 Exit escalator or the A3 Exit elevator and follow the red dashed line route.

2. APA Hotel & Resort Ryogoku Station Tower
- The main entrance is used when coming from the Toei Oedo Line or when returning from Ryogoku Indoor Pool.
- If you check in at the front desk and have prepaid with APA Direct, you can check in in just one second. The staff member carefully instructed me on how to use the screen, and I was able to receive my room key by simply holding the QR code up to the check-in machine. I received a hotel guide sheet, and amenities were also in the room, so if there was room available, check-in was completed in no time.
- This time, I made a reservation for a single room with no meals included for 5,900 yen, available only through the app and online payment, and was upgraded to a high-rise room on the 27th floor!

Ryogoku Indoor Pool
...The indoor pool, operated by KONAMI Sports, is a facility of Ryogoku Junior High School and is open to the public for 410 yen per use, with junior high school students and those aged 65 or older who live in the ward being able to use it for 100 yen per use.
- 25m 7 lanes (Monday 7pm-8pm)
- There was one walking-only course, two free courses, two beginner courses, one intermediate course, and one advanced course.
- Walking course: 7-8 people, 3-4 others. I heard someone say it was crowded, so it might be a little less crowded on a weekday evening.
- The water quality was better at the indoor pool at the Sumida Ward General Gymnasium in Kinshicho.
