The pillars of Suidobashi Station reuse the German rails imported in 1890.

The origin of the Suidobashi is a bridge that spans the Kanda River and connects Misakicho with Koishikawa and Hongo. It is said that it came to be called Suidobashi because it was seen.

Opened on October 24, 1897 The pillars of JR Suidobashi Station were imported from Germany's "Dortmund Wanion" in 1886 (Meiji 19) and assembled with old rails after use. The pillars between the railroad tracks and the arched pillars on the platform are beautiful works of art.
