First Experience of the Welcome Bar at Super Hotel Premier Ikebukuro

Super Hotel Premier Ikebukuro Natural Hot Springs opened in October 2022 as the third hotel in Ikebukuro.
Located a little ways from the west exit of Ikebukuro Station , the hotel's selling point seems to be the large public bath with heated, circulating Yugawara hot spring water, but I was personally very satisfied with the "welcome bar" that I only found out about after checking in. It seems that most Super Hotels have welcome bars, so I would like to try other Super Hotels in the near future.
1. Access from Ikebukuro Station
- From Ikebukuro Station , the shortest route is from the West Exit (North) Exit 20a , but it is difficult to find and there are only stairs, so we recommend going from the West Exit (Central) Exit 19.
- When traveling from Tokyo Metro or JR lines, it is convenient to check the exit number and location on the Tokyo Metro Ikebukuro Station map.
- We recommend taking the C6 (escalator) and C9 (elevator) exits near the Fukutoshin Line ticket gates (the red line route in the diagram below) as it avoids the downtown area and is easy to follow.

West Exit (Central) - Take the escalator at Exit 19 and go to the right, towards the direction where you can see "Karaokekan"

When you get to the "Family Mart" area, you will see the "Super Hotel" sign.

- To the front desk on the third floor

- Please note that you cannot enter the elevator without a PIN number between midnight and 7am.

- On the third floor, there was a message board on the right side.

- I immediately went to the welcome bar. I later found out in the comments section that it was OK to bring drinks into the room and food into the bar. Also, I didn't feel like I was being kicked out even at 8pm, so it seemed like it would be okay to have my last drink at my leisure.

- Various cocktail recipes

- Drink too much, please be careful.

- There was ice and non-alcoholic drinks. Sorry I don't have a photo of the table space...

- 12F, aisle

- I was in a room next to the elevator, so I'm not sure if I was able to sleep well, but luckily the noise wasn't an issue.

- The room key is a six-digit pin number, and you receive a piece of paper at check-in, which acts like a key and you carry with you when you go to the bar or bath.

- I booked through Ikyu for a "Leave the room type to us" rate of 9,700 yen - 970 points for 8,700 yen. It seems I got a standard room of 12m2 (women's only floor available). Depending on the date, the price ranged from 7,315 yen to 15,105 yen, so I was able to choose a relatively cheap date to stay.

- There was no chair at the entrance to the room, so I was a bit surprised.

- Near the entrance

- Regarding hanger space, I think three hangers is a little too few for two people.

- A compact table...

- Below is the storage for pots, cups and hair dryers.

- dryer

- refrigerator

- Wall-mounted TV, 49-inch, air conditioner

- Bedside, USB & power outlet etc.

- You can choose your size and pick up your loungewear from the front desk, just like you would for amenities.

- bathroom

- Bathtub, toilet

- shower head

- Shampoos

- Amenities, essence mask, relaxation sheet, and more

- 3rd floor, laundry (also available on the women's only floor, 4th floor)

- Oku-Yugawara hot spring ingredients

Overall ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️
To be honest, the natural hot spring is not heated or circulated, and there is no open-air bath. There is also no sauna. Although it is called a large public bath, there are only about five washing areas, which was disappointing. However, I happened to check in around 7:30pm before dinner, and found out there was a welcome bar, which was open until 8pm, so I was glad I was able to make it in time.
😄 Welcome bar (18:00-20:00) You can bring your own drinks or take them to your room.
😄 Keyless system with no check-out required, but you must carry a paper with a 6-digit number
😄 A wide range of amenities, including relaxation sheets and essence masks (limited quantities available)
😩 The room was small, had no desk, and no view.
😩 It's a little far from the station, so you have to walk.
