4. Basic information |
1. Access from JR Ikebukuro Station
- From JR Ikebukuro Station, exit through Central Gate 1 or 2 and head towards the East Exit. We recommend following the signs for "Exits 34 and 35, towards Sunshine City."

- The east exit is also large, but follow the signs for exits 34 and 35.

- There is a slope on the left, and stairs on the right

- At the ground level exit, there are upward escalators and elevators.

- Take the escalator at Exit 35 and follow the signs for "Sunshine City."

- It's bad manners to walk from in front of the hotel, but if you follow the arrow, it's close...

- If coming from Higashi-Ikebukuro Station on the Tokyo Metro Yurakucho Line, take Exit 7.

- The route from Higashi-Ikebukuro Station to Sunshine City is said to be directly connected to the hotel, but the details are unclear. I'll check and update this post the next time I visit.

2. Hotel
- The front desk is on the right. As it is a mammoth hotel with over 1,000 rooms, it must be very crowded at peak times, but there were also about three automatic check-in and check-out machines.

- The elevator reservation this time was made with Ikyu's limited time sale "20% off the standard plan" and cost 12,875 yen. After the travel support discount, it was 10,377 yen, but it seems we were upgraded to the panoramic floor on the 34th floor.

- Unlike business hotels, the corridors have fluffy carpets that are pleasant to walk on.

- There seem to be vending machines on every floor.

- Inside the room
- There is no closet, just a wall hanging space. Personally, I like this type because it saves space and is easy to use.

- slippers

- The TV is small, 35 inches? I don't watch it much so this is fine

- The air purifier was not in a state where it could be used immediately after plugging it in.

- pot

- I have two bottles of mineral water, so I used one for coffee.

- Drawer and charging cable included

- The chair is simple and functional. Sit on it and take a breather while looking out the window at the night view. You'll want to come back again...

- Nespresso

- It was delicious

- Refrigerator space

- Inside the refrigerator

- bed

- Two power outlets and two USB ports next to the bed

- Safety deposit box behind the door next to the desk

- Loungewear

- The bathroom seemed to have been renovated and was cleaned thoroughly.

- Washroom space

- bathtub

- shower head

- Shampoos
- The shampoo bottles were refills and details were unknown.
- The hair dryer looks good in a bag, but it's a bit of a pain to use. The most convenient ones are the ones you see in hotels overseas that you can just pop off the wall and use right away...

- toilet

- Toilet panel

- The view from the window makes me wish the window was a little bigger.

I found out after checking out that the hotel had a convenience store. I was overwhelmed by the crowds in the lobby and couldn't take a stroll, so I ended up walking to the convenience store outside.
