Surprised by TDR guests staying at Hotel Shuranza MAKUHARI BAY
Hotel Shuranza MAKUHARI , newly opened in December 2022
Located next to Mitsui Outlet Park MAKUHARI BAY, it is easily accessible, just a 2-minute walk from Kaihin Makuhari Station, and has received high reviews. It is also popular with Disney visitors, as it is 7 stations and 20 minutes from Maihama Station.
I happened to have some business in Chiba, and was able to reserve a 17 square meter superior double room for just ¥6,000, so I decided to stay there.

1. Access from the station
- From Kaihin Makuhari Station,
- Exit the ticket gate and head to the South Exit on the left
- Exit the south exit and turn left. Follow the tracks and you will see the hotel ahead on your right.
- From Haneda Airport ,
- It usually takes about 30 minutes from Haneda Airport, depending on road conditions.
- There are about two buses per hour, so we recommend taking the bus from the airport.

Is this a valuable hotel as it is a newly built hotel with spacious rooms where you can stay for around 6,000 yen?
Perhaps because there were many guests using TDR, there were few male guests and check-in was late, so the large public bath was reserved (especially the men's side) even after 9 p.m.
I didn't use the nice massage chairs because I didn't have any coins on me, but they are only available for a fee, so they might be convenient for those who want to use them.
There were many negative reviews about the hotel not being very clean, but this may have improved by the time of my stay (November 2024), as I had no issues with the cleanliness.
😄 Next to a convenience store (Lawson). Accessible from the hotel entrance. 😄 The large public bath is spacious and empty, and they even offer ice cream after your bath. 😄 Separate sink, toilet, and shower room. 😄 Separate loungewear.
😢 There is a massage chair, but unfortunately it is charged. 😢 There is (presumably) construction going on behind the building, so I am worried about noise and the view in the future. 😢 There is no luggage rack, and although it is a domestic refrigerator, it is not a quiet type.
