HOTEL MONTEREY LA SOEUR GINZA, with its clean tiled floors

This was my third Hotel Monterey experience, following those in Hanzomon and Akasaka. Opened in 2000, it's the oldest, but I stayed at Hotel Monterey La Soeur Ginza, which has a theme of "a weekend like living in a chic Parisian apartment," and has received high praise from customers for its well-maintained facilities despite its age.

1. Access from the station
- When accessing from Ginza 1-Chome Station , Exit 10 is the closest, but please note that there are stairs and it is only open between 7:00 and 22:00.

- To access from Takaracho Station , from the platform heading towards Oshiage, exit the ticket gate near car 6 and take the elevator at Exit A7 to ground level. For the exit closest to the hotel, exit the ticket gate near car 3 and take Exit A4. For the platform heading towards Nishi-Magome, exit the ticket gate near car 8 and take the escalator at Exit A8 to ground level. For the exit closest to the hotel, exit the ticket gate near car 3 and take Exit A1.

2. Hotel
- The front desk is a face-to-face style, and the entrance to the Italian restaurant "San Michele" is on the right side of the photo, so small that I wondered if it was the restaurant's cash register. However, it's true that small hotels in Paris are like this too.
- There is an elevator, and the guest rooms are on the 2nd to 13th floors. I made a reservation through Ikyu again this time with a "Special Price for Ikyu Members Only! (Room Only)" for a single room of 15,800 yen + 15% points for immediate use, for a total of 13,430 yen. Since it's a room on the 2nd floor, I can't expect a view this time either... (sobs)

- The hallway and ceiling lights are Parisian-style? They have a simple and calming feel.

- My first impression of the room entrance was that the floor was tiled and clean. However, it was a little small compared to the Hanzomon and Akasaka rooms. Maybe it's because it's Ginza.

- On the floor map, the top side is the hotel entrance (west side). Even on the lower side of the second floor (east side), it was good that it wasn't completely dark because the building was across the street...

- The lighting in the room is the same as in the hallway. The slightly higher ceiling gives a sense of openness.

- Closets and doors are often inconvenient, but perhaps because they don't interfere with traffic flow too much, it seems to be tolerable.

- Slippers seem to be the same in most hotels, but I wonder if there aren't any types that are a little more comfortable.

- The TV is small, 32 inches? It takes up a lot of desk space.

- I was simply happy to see that the air purifier had an outlet.

- Tiger's electric kettle, "Wakuko," has a function to prevent spillage.

- Mineral and Monterey types seem to be included as standard.

- Drawers and delivery slips are useful in emergencies.

- Desk & Chair

- Under-desk refrigerator, 23L

- The drink set seems to be common to all Monterey Group establishments.

- There were outlets behind the bed and the phone, and they were fixed in place and easy to use.

- There were some reviews saying that the loungewear was worn out, but it was fine.

- The bathroom appears to have been completely renovated, and the tiling gives it a luxurious feel.

- Washroom space

- Amenities

- The Mirabelle shower head gradually creates a finer mist from left to right. This time, I tried a slow, full-body mist shower. My skin definitely felt a little more moisturized the next morning.

- Shampoos

- The hair dryer is next to the desk

- toilet

- The view from the window is bright even on the second floor. Unfortunately, there was construction going on overnight in the building across the street from the left side, which caused quite a bit of noise during the night. (sobs)
