Keikyu EX Hotel Minatomirai Yokohama, opened in June 2024

Keikyu EX Hotel Minatomirai

Keikyu EX Hotel Minatomirai Yokohama , newly opened on June 24, 2024

The location is a complex facility that opened in the Shin-Takashima area. Inside " Yokohama Sympho Stage "

The twin towers consist of a 30-story West Tower and a 16-story East Tower, with the Keikyu EX Hotel located on the upper floors of the West Tower.

The lower floors house Yamaha's experiential brand shop, as well as restaurants and merchandise stores.

I also stayed at the newly opened Sotetsu Hotels The Splaisir Yokohama on June 20th, and I would like to take a closer look at the hotel competition between Keikyu and Sotetsu.

This time, I booked the "Opening Anniversary Plan" on the official website for a Standard Double A (18.8 square meters) room for one person for 8,640 yen.

2. Keikyu EX Hotel Minatomirai Yokohama

Elevator 1
Once inside the hotel, take the elevator to the 26th floor to the front desk.
(The photo was taken when I accidentally went down to the first floor during my early morning check-out, but if you are walking along the pedestrian deck towards Yokohama Station, you should get off on the second floor.)

front
Complete the check-in procedures at the front desk and automatic check-in machine, then head to your room
(This photo was taken at checkout, so the checkout box was placed and the machine was in the "CLOSE" position.)

Spacious and pleasant lobby 😊

The view from the 26th floor is great, with the Landmark Tower right in front of you.

Room entrance
I'm sorry, but it's dark and hard to see from the entrance of the room.

chair
The "Standard Double A" type comes with a chair and ottoman, while the B type comes with a bench sofa, but unfortunately I rarely sat there... (I might have sat there if I had been facing the window...)

air purifier
The air purifier and power outlet are also included, so you can use it right away 😊

bed
The bed width is 160cm, and the beds in the moderate and superior rooms are also 160cm wide. In the case of twin rooms, the width is 110cm.

Bed 2
Actually, I was glad that my bed faced the window instead of the TV... 😊 😊

Amenities
Body towels and toothbrush sets are provided in the room. Other items can be picked up in the lobby.

bathroom
The "Standard Double A" type comes with either a shower room type or a bathtub type, and you cannot choose between them. Type B only has a shower room type. Therefore, if necessary, you should use the large public bath (15:00-25:00, 5:00-9:00, apparently with a view of Mt. Fuji depending on the weather). (This time, I did not use the large public bath.)

Overall ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️

You can expect a good view from any room, and if you're lucky, you can even see Mount Fuji from the Landmark Tower side (Type B).

You might get lost if you don't check the access from Yokohama Station in advance.

Next time I'll try Type B and the large public bath.

😄 Spacious room with a view 😄 Air purifier ready to use 😄 Fluffy towels 😄 Free coffee even at 5:30 in the morning

😩 It's far from Yokohama Station, and some escalators are not available in the early morning. 😩 Type A doesn't offer a choice between a shower booth and a bathtub.
