HOTEL METROPOLITAN KAMAKURA, opened 2020, a place you'll want to return to again
I stayed at Hotel Metropolitan Kamakura, which opened in 2020 and is conveniently located just a two-minute walk from the station, making it convenient for sightseeing.

1. Access from the station
- To access from JR Kamakura Station , go to the East Exit ticket gate. You can also pass through JR Kamakura Station when arriving by Enoshima Electric Railway . Station map Passing through from Enoshima Electric Railway

- Exit the ticket gate at the east exit of JR Kamakura Station and go straight ahead.

- Cross the second crosswalk, go through the bus rotary and continue straight ahead.

- Proceed to the Kamakura Station entrance intersection, cross the traffic light and turn left. The hotel is in the building with a red frame. The first floor is a Muji store, so the hotel entrance is at the back after passing the Muji store entrance.

2. Hotel
- Enter the 1st floor entrance and go to the far left to reach the elevator hall

- In front of the elevator hall on the first floor. Looking out at the beautiful courtyard, you won't even mind waiting for the elevator.

- The front desk is on the 2nd floor, and the guest rooms are on the 2nd to 5th floors. There is a height limit of 15m in the Kamakura scenic area.

- In the lobby, there were decorations with tanzaku paper strips, as well as tanzaku paper strips and pens available for Tanabata.

- Coffee service in the lobby: 5:30-9:00 & 19:00-24:00

- After checking in, I headed to my room on the 5th floor. My reservation was for the "【Early Booking Discount】90 Day Advance Plan - Room Only - Kamakura Komachi Double (Non-smoking)" for 15,708 yen. The hallway had a somewhat Japanese feel to it.

- Room entrance

- There are six rooms on each floor facing the courtyard.

- Clothes closet. There were four hangers for each person, and a safety was installed underneath.

- The room and chairs faced the TV, but we turned them around so we could see the courtyard.

- The courtyard cannot be seen from other rooms, so is it okay to leave the curtains open?

- The TV is mounted on the wall to the left of the bed, making it difficult to watch while lying down.

- Of course, the Daikin humidifier air purifier had an outlet.

- bed

- Pajama-type loungewear

- There is no desk, Bedside cupboard and refrigerator

- There is a drink set and coffee at the front desk on the second floor, but drip coffee is also available in each room.

- There are four bottles in total: two in the refrigerator and two in the bathroom. I appreciate the thoughtfulness of having both room temperature and refrigerated bottles.

- There is a bathroom on the right side.

- Amenities in the drawer

- We were grateful for the eye masks and cooling sheets, which were provided to guests who were walking around the tourist area, and we were able to enjoy viewing the hydrangeas the next morning.

- bathroom

Overall ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️
😄 Thoughtful amenities and mineral treatments 😄 Air purifier is switched on in standby mode
😄 Relaxing bath time with separate bathroom and toilet
😄 Convenient location near the station for sightseeing
😩 A small room that feels cramped
My only complaint is that the 20m room was a little small, but this can be solved by getting a higher grade room.
