【Trip Report】JAL City Naha: A Prime Location, Almost Centrally Located on Kokusai Street

Hotel JAL City Naha, which opened in June 2006

In 2018, all guest rooms and the lobby were renovated, making it a popular hotel in the heart of Kokusai Street, which will celebrate its 20th anniversary on June 20, 2026.

While it offers great access, with Don Quijote, Makishi Public Market, souvenir shops, and restaurants all within walking distance, some reviews mention that despite the renovations, the bathrooms (unit baths) are small and old, and depending on the room type, the air conditioning is centrally controlled and cannot be individually switched between heating and cooling.

This time, I stayed there using a JAL Dynamic Package.

  

• Approximately 15 minutes by car/taxi (approx. 2,000 yen)
  • Parking is available on a first-come, first-served basis for 85 cars (reservations not accepted), 1,800 yen per night.
• 320 yen from the airport by Yui Rail, approximately 8 minutes on foot from Miebashi Station, approximately 10 minutes on foot from Makishi Station
  

Take the elevator to the 2nd floor for the front desk. The lobby is behind the front desk.

 Overall ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️

Although I stayed on a JAL Dynamic Package, when I declared that I was a Royal Member and requested an upgrade even if the room type was different, there was no upgrade to a different room type. In that case, I would have preferred the room type I originally booked.

😄 The parking attendant provided excellent service for entry and exit

😢 The loungewear was a separate type but only one size, which might be quite tight for men
😢 The check-in staff seemed to be in training
