Hotel Monterey Hanzomon

Hotel Monterey Hanzomon

Hotel Monterey Hanzomon has received high praise for its proximity to the station, within walking distance of the Budokan, and the opportunity to go for an early morning run around the Imperial Palace. It opened in September 2006, making it newer than Monterey Ginza and around the same time as Monterey Akasaka, which opened in April 2007. I was able to use the Nationwide Travel Subsidy program, so I decided to stay at a slightly more expensive hotel.

  • At Hanzomon Station on the Tokyo Metro Hanzomon Line, take the escalator near Oshiage Station and head towards Exit 5. If you are using the Hanzomon Line on your way back, you will need to go down to the platform using the stairs inside the ticket gate, so go back down the left-hand passage and enter the ticket gate at the end, where you will find an elevator going down to the platform.
