[Hotel Review] Hilton Okinawa Miyakojima Resort: A Popular Pool for Families and Adults

Newly opened in June 2023, "Hilton Okinawa Miyako Island Resort"
is popular for its prime location overlooking the Miyako Blue sea, Irabu Ohashi Bridge, and sunsets.
With a total of five pools (three outdoor, two indoor), it's a well-equipped facility that families and adults can enjoy.
This time, I booked and stayed in a City View Twin Executive Room.
1. Access from the Airport
- From Miyako Airport: Approximately 15 minutes by car (approx. 5 km)
- Free shuttle bus for guests. Please check the timetable on the HP.

2. Hilton Okinawa Miyako Island Resort
- From Miyako Airport, the Hilton shuttle bus stop is to the left and front (photo shows Miyako Airport exit from the bus stop).

- Perhaps because I arrived on an early flight before check-in, the shuttle bus was almost empty with only 3 passengers.

- The back of the bus had a luxurious design with a table in the center.

- Hotel arrival

- You can see Irabu Ohashi Bridge beautifully from in front of the hotel entrance.

- Lobby, check-in at the front desk on the right.

- My room was on the 7th floor. I had reserved an Executive Floor City View with lounge access, but I was upgraded one level to a Port View.

- From the room entrance

- There are beach parkas to wear over swimsuits and bags available 😊

- Open the door on the far side for the closet.

- Slippers are underneath.

- To the back of the room

- Rooms are available with king or twin beds; this room has twin beds.

- The 35 sq.m. room has two 135cm wide beds.

- Bedside

- The air conditioning allows for fine adjustments in 0.5 degree increments 😊

- Desk & TV

- Coffee and water are replenished at the water server.

- Table, I mostly used the terrace seating because the weather was good.

- The top drawer contains a safe.

- The bottom is storage space.

- The adjacent drawer contains cups.

- Glasses

- Kettle

- Refrigerator; there was no freezer.

- Move to the washroom, sink.

- Amenities include a toothbrush set, razor, and cotton set.

- Hair dryer

- Toilet

- Bathtub

- There is a rain shower, but no chair or bucket provided 😥

- Separated pajamas 😊

- View from the window

- From the ocean view rooms, you can see Irabu Ohashi Bridge.

- Here is the view from the Executive Lounge.

- Outdoors, there are three pools: a kids' pool (30cm depth), a family pool (1.2m depth), and an adults-only pool (1.2m depth) for guests 16 and older. From December to February, these are closed, and only indoor pools are available, but for a limited period around the New Year, the family pool operates as a heated pool.

- The beach in front of the hotel. Perhaps because of the jellyfish net, the water wasn't very clear, so I enjoyed other beaches.

3. Breakfast
- 1F All-day Dining "Azure" (1st floor)
- International breakfast buffet featuring local ingredients
- 6:30 AM - 11:30 AM, Adults: 3,800 yen, Children (6-12 years old): 1,900 yen, Under 5 years old: Free

Overall ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️
I visited Miyakojima for the first time by moving up my November plans to October because there was a jellyfish net at Sunset Beach until the end of October, but unfortunately the water clarity was low.
😄 Excellent access with the lounge on the same floor
😄 Adults-only pool for guests 16 and older
😄 Times Car Share on the premises is convenient
😢 The Sunset Beach in front of the hotel had low clarity, which was a shame (might depend on the season)
😢 Wish the indoor pool had a sauna
