Hotel Hillarys Akasaka

I was looking for a hotel with good access to Aoyama and found Hotel Hillarys Akasaka .

It is only two stations away from Omotesando, opened in 2018, is relatively new, and even has a bathhouse with a sauna .

It usually costs around 20,000 to 30,000 yen, but I stayed there on a special day when the double room rate was 12,580 yen, which matched my plans.

1. Access from the station

From Akasaka Station on the Tokyo Metro Chiyoda Line,
- Exit the ticket gate for Hitotsugi-dori and head to Exit 3a (there is also an elevator to ground level)

This room is on the 5th floor

Building B is next to Building A, and the first floor and the top floor (bathroom and lounge) are connected.

Bed 140cm wide

I'm a bit worried about clothes getting in the way in the winter.

The desk can be used to store luggage.

The air conditioner can be set in 0.5 degree increments or 1.0 degree increments depending on the room.

There are two types of slippers: disposable and reusable 😊

Safety deposit box. It's on the bottom shelf and a little hard to use.

Be careful, if you close the door and turn the knob on the left, it will lock (there is no PIN number).

Refrigerator with freezer. It can be turned off, but when it is on it makes a fair amount of noise.

I locked myself out of the safe and contacted the front desk.

We were able to successfully unlock it with the master key, but were unable to relock it, so we had to move to another room.

Overall ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️

Due to a problem with the room, we were moved from a double room (10 square meters) to a deluxe double room (12 square meters), so we were able to relax in a larger room than originally planned.

Due to its location, there is no view from the window, but if you include Akasaka-Mitsuke Station, it is a convenient location when using the Chiyoda Line, Ginza Line, or Marunouchi Line.

The men's bath has a sauna, but there is no cold bath or place to put small items, so it's a bit of a problem.

When using a safety deposit box in a bath or other location, we recommend checking the instructions (not sure if there were any) in advance.
