Dormy Inn's Japanese-style premium hotel, Onyado Nono Asakusa villa, have tatami floors and self-louver saunas!

Nono Asakusa Villa

The natural hot spring Ryoten no Yu Onyado Nono Asakusa Bettei will have its grand opening on January 16, 2024 .

Located nearby is the "Natural Hot Spring Ryoun no Yu Onyado Nono Asakusa" (hereinafter referred to as the main building), which opened in July 2019, so be sure to keep this in mind when making a reservation!

I haven't stayed in the main building yet, but based on the information I've found in word-of-mouth and reviews, I can tell you what the differences are...

1. Access from the station

It is close to Sensoji Temple and is a convenient base for sightseeing in Asakusa , but on the other hand, it is inconveniently located from the Ginza Line and Asakusa Line, so we recommend checking the route in advance, especially if you have luggage and want to avoid stairs.
  • From Tsukuba EX "Asakusa" station ,
    • Conveniently located near Exit A1
    • On the way there, you can take the escalator from the platform to ground level.
    • You will have to use the stairs on your way back, so make sure you check where the elevator is.
  • From Asakusa Station on the Ginza Line ,
    • Take the elevator at Exit 1 to ground level
    • Go along Kannon Street towards Sensoji Temple
    • The closest route is through Bentenyama Children's Park and the temple grounds.
    • As the route passes through an area with many tourists, we recommend accessing it from Tawaramachi Station on the Ginza Line.
  • From Tawaramachi Station on the Ginza Line ,
    • Exit 3 is closer, but you can take the elevator to the ground level at the ticket gate near the center of the platform.
    • Head north from the Kotobuki 4-chome intersection to the Koen Roku-ku entrance intersection.
  • From Ginza Station on the Asakusa Line ,
    • Exit A4 is the closest, but there are stairs up and down, so it's an exit you might want to avoid even if you don't have luggage.
    • The elevator to ground level is Exit A2b, the farthest exit.

front

In front of the entrance, you take off your shoes at the entrance. The front desk is at the back right and there is a shoe locker at the front right.

shoe cabinet

Please keep the shoe locker key at your own risk until check-out. It was not like you had to leave it at the front desk.

Drink service

Drink corner in front of the front desk. Perhaps because the space was used for shoe lockers, there was no space to sit on lobby-style chairs, and the area in front of the front desk was used as a place to store suitcases when checking in.

B1F: Dining area, large public bath, 2F-9F: Guest rooms

button

The elevator buttons have sensors, and although you just need to bring your finger close to the button, I find myself pressing them unintentionally...

Restaurant menu

The restaurant on B1F is open for lunch after breakfast.

aisle

The corridors are also covered with tatami mats, which give a slightly cushioned feel and make the place feel comfortable.

In front of the room

This room is on the 3rd floor. Standard plan [Non-smoking] Universal 26 square meters ¥15,525-
Normally it costs over 20,000 yen per person, so I jumped at the chance without checking the room type.

Floor Map

The 312 and 313 sides are towards Sensoji Temple and Skytree.

Room entrance

My first impression was that it was spacious! Ah, it's a universal type so wheelchairs can pass through...

Dormy Inn's familiar loungewear

washroom

The bathroom area actually has a ceiling sensor light, which is convenient, but it turns off after about 5 seconds, so when I go back and forth, the clicking noise is loud and annoying... 😢

Room entrance

It is separated from the living room by a sliding door 😊

living room

The room has tatami flooring, so it doesn't bother me that there isn't a luggage rack... 😊

TV stand

The TV is a 45-inch? Smart type and you can watch various videos. The main building has a regular TV, so if you want to watch videos, you should go to the annex.

air purifier

There's an outlet there. 😃 It would be a lot of work to install an outlet there by yourself...

bed

Serta low beds are 140cm wide.

bedside

The bedside clock is digital and silent.

sofa

Be careful, if you hold it while sitting on a sofa or tatami mat, it will slide backwards and you will not be able to open the sliding door!

Overall ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️

The new building is scheduled to open in January 2024, so the overall feel is very new and comfortable.

Although it is a premium hotel, it is basically the same as other Dormy Inns, with the only differences being the tatami floor and the self-loyly sauna. The sauna at Onyado Nono Honkan is a high-temperature dry sauna for men and a mist sauna for women.

This time, I unintentionally booked a universal type room in order to get the lowest price, but the direct booking site is difficult to use. Is it because I'm not used to it?

😄 Tatami mats in the hallways and rooms & a relaxed atmosphere 😄 Classic after-bath ice cream, soba noodles, and lactic acid drinks 😄 Smart TV with Netflix and other streaming services

😩 It's inconveniently far from the Ginza Line and Asakusa Line stations. 😩 The massage chairs are so popular I can't use them. Please increase the number!
😩 It's a bit too expensive for me to buy it again
