Opened in 2024, Hotel Comments Yokohama Kannai

Hotel Comments Yokohama Kannai

Hotel Comment Yokohama Kannai to open on April 1, 2024

The hotel is adjacent to the multi-purpose arena "Yokohama BUNTAI," which was built on the site of the former "Yokohama Cultural Gymnasium," which closed in 2020 due to aging, and has 116 guest rooms.

There are 11 types of rooms available, including single and twin rooms, bunk bedrooms with bunk beds, and maisonette rooms with bedrooms on the second floor.

Targeting women in their late 20s to early 30s, the hotel is intended for use by several people for girls' get-togethers or trips , and is operated by Starts Hotel Development, which also operates Hotel Lumiere Kasai.

This time I stayed in a single room through Ikyu for 8,170 yen (after using 430 points immediately).

2. Hotel Comments Yokohama Kannai

  • As you head towards the hotel from JR Kannai Station, you will see the large Yokohama Buntai building on your left, and the thin white building to the right is Hotel Comment Yokohama Kannai.

  • There are tables and chairs in front of the hotel, so if the hotel lobby gets crowded, you might want to take a break here.

In front of the hotel

  • The front desk was right in front of the hotel entrance. It had only been open for about a week, so I was a little unfamiliar with it, but they kindly explained the hotel to me and I was able to check in.

front

  • There is a lobby space in front of and behind the front desk, and a large public bath at the back of the spiral staircase (accessible from the elevator at the back of the lobby).

Lobby 2

  • The elevator takes you to the 3rd to 7th floors, and this time I stayed in a room on the 6th floor. There were no POPs or anything like that inside the elevator, and it left a nice impression of being clean and calm.

  • It's not a large space, but it has a calm atmosphere.

  • The entrance to the room is new and has only been used by about 10 people so far!

Room entrance

  • The bottom is the main street side. The amenity corner is behind the elevator, but there was no sign of its location, so I walked around and found it.

Floor Map

  • To the back of the room. There is no luggage rack, so we use the bench behind the table as a luggage rack.

  • The TV is a REGZA 43-inch. It's a bit inconvenient to watch from the bed.

      Overall ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️

The single room (14m²) with a sauna included was 8,600 yen, which felt like a great deal and I was very satisfied with my stay. The amenity "Relax Sheet" was also a useful item to relieve travel fatigue.

There were some negative aspects, such as the lack of a bath towel rack in the room and the sauna being small and lacking a place to put small items or a mat, but I would like to return in the hope that these will be improved in the future.

😄 It's a newly opened building, so everything is new and comfortable. 😄 The amenities corner on each floor has a wide variety of items, so it's convenient to take your time choosing. 😄 The separate loungewear has a stylish design. 😩 It's inconvenient that there are no treatments in the large bath. 😩 The sauna is small, so there's no place to put small items, and there are no mats, which is a concern for hygiene.
