Citadines, which originated in France , became a subsidiary of the Singapore-based Ascott Hotel Group in 2004, and this is its fifth property in Japan, following two in Kyoto, Osaka Namba, and Tokyo Shinjuku.

The nearest station is Nihon-odori Station on the Minatomirai Line, which is directly connected to the hotel!

I stayed overnight with plans to go for a morning run at nearby Yamashita Park.

• Exit the ticket gate at Nihon-Odori Station on the Minatomirai Line and turn right. Take the elevator at Osanbashi Pier (Exit 4) to ground level.

• Go straight through the underground passage towards Exit 4.

• The nearest convenience store (Lawson) is located just before the elevator and is open from 7:00 to 23:00.

• The front desk is Western-style, surrounded by brick (patterned?) walls and a high ceiling. Perhaps because it has only just opened (although it has only been about three months), the receptionist checked in while checking in with a trainer from another overseas store.

I was lucky enough to get the ocean view room I had requested in advance, so I'm grateful!

• The lobby next to the front desk is perfect for before and after check-in or for meeting up with someone.

• As a welcome drink, you can enjoy iced coffee from Coffee House, but this will end when it runs out.

• There are 11 types of guest rooms on floors 2 to 6 and 8 to 17. The 7th floor has a lounge and gym.

• There was a wooden room key and a Wi-Fi connection manual (which was in Japanese on the back, but maybe only in English). At check-in, we were instructed to enter our room number as the ID and our last name in lowercase Roman letters as the password.

Overall ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️

Until the end of October 2023, we were able to stay at a special rate during the newly opened period, and we were lucky enough to get a room with an ocean view, so we were very satisfied. The weather was great, so we were able to go for a pleasant early morning jog (although we got lost!)
