Nine Hours Shinagawa Station Sleep Lab powered by NTT DATA

Nine Hours Shinagawa Station Sleep Lab, bowered by NTT DATA, a men-only capsule hotel with sleep analysis capabilities and directly connected to JR Shinagawa Station, will open in August 2024.
An infrared camera, sound-collecting microphone, and body movement sensor inside the capsule measure heart rate, snoring, apnea, etc. You can receive a sleep report by email at a later date using the sleep analysis sensor "9h sleep fitscan."
This time I booked a stay at the hotel through Rakuten Travel for 6,790 yen .

Nine Hours entrance. Self-check-in is done at the electronic panel in front.

In addition to your reservation number, name, and contact information, you will be asked to answer questions about your lifestyle habits if you wish to complete a sleep report.Once you have registered your email address, you will be given a locker key on an RQ code sheet.

It's quite a hassle, so there may be a line in some cases.

There is a work space inside the entrance with about six seats.

There were towels in my locker and bag. There were also about eight sinks lined up along the wall next to the lockers.

Overall ⭐️
It is directly connected to Shinagawa Station, but the entrance is on the side of the building, so you will need an umbrella for about 10 meters when it rains.
I was interested in the sleep report, so I decided to stay at the hotel, but I was disappointed to find that even the time I spent relaxing in the capsule looking at my smartphone was reported as a good night's sleep.
The space it occupies is less than a quarter of that of a business hotel, and the shared space is also extremely small, so even though it's directly connected to the station, I felt the cost performance was quite low. I guess it's a facility exclusively for business people who have missed the last train at Shinagawa Station.
There is almost no shared space.
😢 Meh sleep report
